About Corjan Mol
The site is built and maintained by Corjan Mol, a Dutch entrepreneur, author, television presenter and historical researcher. He has appeared on The Curse of Oak Island since 2019, and his investigations for the series have taken him to Portugal and the Azores, Italy, Malta, the Netherlands, Belgium, Denmark and Nova Scotia. He works from archival records, the analysis of historic sites and fieldwork, testing possible connections between European history, Nova Scotia and Oak Island against the available documentary and physical evidence.
Corjan's interest in historical mysteries began more than thirty years ago, with a copy of Holy Blood, Holy Grail and annual treasure-hunting journeys through the French Pyrenees with his father, following the trail of Rennes-le-Château, the mystery that later helped inspire Dan Brown’s The Da Vinci Code. He went on to create one of the earliest and most extensive online archives devoted to that subject at renneslechateau.nl, which led to appearances on the BBC series Forbidden History.
He also presents Straten van Toen (Streets of the Past), an award-winning historical AI-time travel series for The HISTORY Channel in theNetherlands.
History is one part of his working life. For more than twenty years Corjan has built and led organizations, several of which grew from small teams into substantial international businesses. That experience carries into his work as a keynote speaker, where he uses history as a mirror to offer leaders, leadership teams and audiences at major events a different perspective on strategy, innovation and change under the motto If you want to know what is coming, look behind you.
With his research partner Christopher Morford he is the author of The Jerusalem Files (Red Wheel/Weiser), with a foreword by Rick Lagina. The book traces the recorded history of the Menorah, the seven-branched candelabrum from Solomon’s Temple, from ancient Jerusalem through medieval Europe under the Knights Templar, and examines evidence that the relic may have reached North America. It became a bestseller in the United States and Canada following publication.
The two have also signed a multi-year agreement to develop The Sandbar Six, an adventure-mystery series for younger readers inspired by real historical mysteries. The first book is scheduled for publication in June 2027 by Moon+Bird / Penguin Random House.

Oak Island has never been a solitary endeavor.
