The site brings together rare resources that don't exist anywhere else online: a lot-by-lot ownership history spanning 275 years, a searchable database of 271 documented artifacts, an interactive map of the key locations, a timeline covering 2,300 years of connected history, episode guides for all thirteen seasons (and the expected 14th season!) of the television series, and dozens of articles exploring the theories behind the Oak Island lore.

About the Creator
This site is built and maintained by Corjan Mol, a Dutch author, TV presenter and historical researcher who has spent eight years as a recurring cast member and researcher on The Curse of Oak Island, the History Channel series broadcast in 79 countries. His on-screen appearances span seasons 7 through 13 of the series, with investigations filmed in Portugal, Italy, Malta, the Netherlands, and Nova Scotia. Corjan’s fascination with historical mysteries goes back thirty years, to a copy of Holy Blood, Holy Grail and annual treasure-hunting trips through the French Pyrenees with his father, following the trail of Rennes-le-Château, the mystery that inspired Dan Brown’s The Da Vinci Code. He built one of the earliest and most comprehensive online archives on that subject at renneslechateau.nl, and his research led to appearances on BBC’s Forbidden History.
Corjan and his American research partner Christopher Morford are the authors of The Jerusalem Files (Watkins/Penguin Random House), with a foreword by Rick Lagina. The book traces the journey of the Menorah, the seven-branched candelabrum from Solomon’s Temple, from ancient Jerusalem through medieval Europe under the Knights Templar, presenting evidence that the relic may have reached North America. Blending archival research with modern investigative techniques, the book became a bestseller in the US and Canada following its launch. They have recently signed a multi-year deal for the development of an adventure mystery book series for young readers based on real historical mysteries, with the first book scheduled for release in June 2027.
TheCurseOfOakIsland.com exists because after years of research and investigation, there was no single resource that brought the full picture together with the accuracy and depth the subject deserves. This site is that resource.

Oak Island has never been a solo endeavour. Every chapter of this story, from the Onslow Company in 1804 to the Lagina brothers today, has depended on people pooling knowledge, resources, and persistence. The mystery is too large and too old for any one person to unravel alone.
