TheCurseOfOakIsland.com is an independent research project created and maintained by Corjan Mol, based in the Netherlands. This site collects minimal personal data. The only data stored is email addresses from visitors who voluntarily subscribe to updates, as described below.

Contact Form
If you send a message through the contact form, your name, email and message are delivered to the site's inbox. That is it. Nothing is added to a list or shared with anyone.
Email Updates
If you subscribe to email updates, your email address is stored in our database for the sole purpose of sending you the emails you chose: episode summaries, research alerts, season reminders, or the periodic Dispatch. Subscribing requires a double opt-in confirmation; sign-ups are checked by Cloudflare Turnstile to keep bots out. Emails are delivered through Resend, which processes your address only to send them. You can change what you receive, or unsubscribe, at any time using the links included in every email. Your email address is never shared with third parties or used for advertising. When you unsubscribe, your record is marked as inactive. You may request full deletion of your data by contacting us through the contact page.
