The Treasure of St. Andrew's Cathedral
Scotland's greatest cathedral held a thousand years of sacred wealth. In 1559, it all vanished.
Drilled 2019 by Lagina team, 190 ft
60-inch caisson sunk by Irving Equipment in Season 6 at the location surveyor Steve Guptill derived for Shaft Six. It passed Chappell Shaft timbers, reached undisturbed soil at 95 feet, and between 101 and 120 feet produced hand-hewn oak, leather, a chain link, possible bone and pottery. It hit limestone bedrock at 190 feet of casing and was shut down.
