Early Canadiana Online (eco.canadiana.ca) is a digital archive of Canadian books, periodicals, and government documents predating the twentieth century. It is operated by Canadiana, a not-for-profit partnership of Canadian academic libraries, archives, and other heritage institutions. Material is contributed by member institutions and made available through full-text search and page-by-page navigation.

For Oak Island research, Early Canadiana Online preserves Nova Scotia government records of the period in which the early excavations and treasure companies operated. Items catalogued in this Research Archive that are accessed through Early Canadiana Online include the 1799 Journal and Votes of the House of Assembly of Nova Scotia, the 1865 Parliamentary Debates of the Province of Nova Scotia, and the July 1870 issue of The New Dominion Monthly.

Many items resolve via redirects from older canadiana.ca URLs to the current eco.canadiana.ca platform. Researchers should expect occasional URL drift as the platform consolidates older redirect chains.
